These terms and conditions refer to our online entry to our raffle for The Kidney Unit Appeal Car Raffle

Raffle overview

1.The cost of each ticket entry into The Kidney Unit Appeal Car Raffle (the “raffle”) is £5. You may purchase more than one ticket but the maximum number of ticket entries is one hundred (i.e. £500) per person.

2.The Kidney Unit Appeal Car Raffle will be drawn on Thursday 30th September 2021 and a winner will be picked at 12 noon. The prize is a 21-reg Vauxhall Corsa SE.

3.Monies raised by this raffle will support the activities of South Tees Hospitals Charity and Charitable Funds (trading as Our Hospitals Charity), registered charity number 1056061 (“we” “us”).

How to enter

4.By submitting an entry, you (the “entrant” and / or “purchaser”) agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Do not purchase a ticket if you do not agree to these terms and conditions.

5.Purchasers of tickets will be asked to provide their contact details including name, address, date of birth, email address and telephone number. This information will be processed in accordance with the data protection legislation and our privacy policy https://www.southtees.nhs.uk/privacy .We will store and process the entrant’s personal information to:

a.communicate with the entrants in relation to this raffle;

b.verify age of the entrant;

c.notify the winner that they have won the prize of the Kidney Unit Appeal Car Raffle; and

d.Communicate future charity events and news

6.By entering this raffle the winner agrees to any publicity on the winning of the raffle.

7.You are responsible for providing us with your accurate contact details and we will not be liable for any failure or inability to contact the winner due to errors or omissions in the contact details provided to us.

8.Payment to enter the raffle must be made in advance of the draw date and the time of the draw via the Enthuse platform only, postal and telephone payment for raffle tickets is not permitted. Enthuse’s terms and conditions can be found here: https://enthuse.com/privacy/

9.If a ticket is sold unknowingly to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 18, their entry will be void (and the payment received will be treated as a donation and not refunded to the purchaser) and he/she will be exempt from the raffle and will forfeit his/her prize.

10.The Kidney Unit Appeal Car Raffle is only open to UK residents over the age of 18 (not to companies or businesses), excluding employees of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Charity who are directly involved with the raffle, their agencies and other companies directly involved in the running of the raffle.

11.Raffle tickets will be entered into the draw only when the whole payment is received.

12.Any ticket entries received after the closing date may miss entry into the draw and therefore will be considered a donation to South Tees Hospitals Charity and Charitable Funds (trading as Our Hospitals Charity).

Prize draw

13.A combination of a random number generator and random selection of ticket numbers is used to select raffle prize winners.

14.Prize will be allocated in a random order.

15.The result of the raffle draw is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

16.Please keep the email receipt or allocated number as proof of purchase.

17.Where South Tees Hospitals Charity and Charitable Funds (trading as Our Hospitals Charity) is unable to contact a prize-winner so that a prize remains unclaimed for seven days following our first attempt to notify the prize-winner, we may apply the prize as it sees fit, including re-offering the prize in future raffles.

18.Where a prize-winner is unable to claim a prize due to geographical location, with their permission we will re-draw a winner for that prize. In agreeing to this, the original prize-winner will forfeit the prize and will not be offered an alternative.

19.All winners are required to provide if requested proof of identity to ensure that their entry was made in accordance with these terms and conditions, including to verify that they are over the age 18.

20.South Tees Hospitals Charity and Charitable Funds (trading as Our Hospitals Charity) does not guarantee or give any warranties as to the value of the prize, its conditions, history or any other matters associated with the prize.

Limitation of liability

21.South Tees Hospitals Charity and Charitable Funds (trading as Our Hospitals Charity) accepts no responsibility for:

a. any technical failure or event which may cause the competition to be disrupted or corrupted; or

b.non-receipt or issues with the receipt of the prize as a result of errors or omissions in the contact details provided to us.

22.South Tees Hospitals Charity and Charitable Funds (trading as Our Hospitals Charity) is not liable to compensate any entrant and accepts no liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death as a result of the entrant’s participation in the raffle draw or in relation to the use or enjoyment of the prize won in this raffle, except where death or personal injury is caused by our negligence.

23.South Tees Hospitals Charity and Charitable Funds (trading as Our Hospitals Charity)’s liability to each entrant is limited to the aggregate value of the raffle tickets purchased by each entrant.

Other terms

24.South Tees Hospitals Charity and Charitable Funds (trading as Our Hospitals Charity) hold the appropriate licences as required by the Gambling Commission and Middlesbrough Council to operate this raffle.

25.In the event of an error, howsoever caused, whether a printing error or otherwise and whether obvious or otherwise, which affects the competition in any way, South Tees Hospitals Charity and Charitable Funds (trading as Our Hospitals Charity) reserves the right to administer the raffle as though the error had not occurred. Where we deem it appropriate and/or feasible we will notify entrants of the error.

26.Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in the disqualification of the entry. South Tees Hospitals Charity and Charitable Funds (trading as Our Hospitals Charity) reserve the right to disqualify any entry at their absolute discretion.
